What is eSim?

In addition to your normal SIM, you can also use an eSIM in your phone. An eSIM is a digital SIM that enables you to use all the SipSim abilities without the use of a physical SIM. To activate your eSIM, you need to follow simple steps, which depend on your phone model.

How to activate eSim on iPhone

1. Open the Camera app and scan your QR code. When the Cellular Plan Detected notification appears, tap it.

2. If you’re using an iPhone with iOS 17.4 or later and you receive a QR code from your carrier in an email, or from the carrier webpage, touch and hold the QR code, then tap Add eSIM.

3. Tap Continue at the bottom of the screen.

4. Tap Add Cellular Plan.

How to activate eSim on Samsung

1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM manager

2. Tap Add eSIM then Scan QR code from Service Provider

3. Scan the QR code

4. Your mobile plan will be automatically downloaded and activated on your eSIM

How to activate eSim on Xiaomi

1. Press Settings

2. Press SIM cards & mobile networks

3. Press the indicator next to “Use eSIM”

4. Press OK

5. Press Manage eSIM.

6. Press Add eSIM.

7. Place the QR code you’ve received inside the phone camera frame to scan the code.

How to activate eSim on Huawei

1.  Go to "Settings" then "Mobile networks"

2. Under "SIM management," choose "SIM 2" (this will display all SIMs and/or eSIMs)

3. Select "eSIM" and then "Add plan"

4. Scan your aloSIM QR code (viewable in aloSIM under "My eSIMs") or upload a screenshot of the QR from your camera roll (available only on certain Huawei devices)

5. Confirm the addition of your new eSIM
